Next Level Japan is a fast growing sales development and digital marketing agency, specialized mostly in software, digital health, and consumer technologies. Next Level provides a wide range of services to firms (mainly foreign) desiring to maximize their opportunities in Japan, Korea and Europe. Their services range from distribution channel establishment and management, to project coordination and digital marketing.
Next Level Japan commissioned us with a brand refresh and the renewal of their aging web presence. The website as a key business tool to effectively attract overseas clients in Japan has a special importance to them. To maximize their inbound business leads the website was created in 5 different languages: English, French, Japanese, Korean and Chinese (pentalingual).
Also a logo brush-up and branding refinement was part of this project, plus a selection of new corporate fonts. The right-and-upwards pointing triangles were defined as accompanying branding elements and are used consistently across the design. Also a new color palette was refined and used for each new service area and specific pages like recruitment or terms of service.
A priority was to create a sense of trustworthiness with the web design, rather than flashiness. A solid modern design was requested but without “outshining” their client base or come across as too quirky. This also determined the selection of custom fonts, such as Post Grotesk as the core brand font – with an overall sense of neutrality – and Noto Sans to support Japanese, Korean and Chinese typography.
We also handled the full multilingual web design, development, server setup and launch preparations for their new .global domain.
